My mother has been diagnosed with bile duct cancer, and/or cancer of
this liver, as of last week. While we recognize the gravity of this
form of cancer and any type of cancer in general, I, more than her,
cannot accept the bleak outlook she has been given. There must be some
new technique, known herbs, natural remedies, etc. that can provide even
a glimmer of hope. For example, yesterday I learned that at the
University of Chicago, an experimental treatment is being tried where a
modified, highly concentrated version of the cold virus (yes, cold
virus) is being injected directly into patients' livers. The virus
attacks and kils the cancer cells. Albeit, this is experiemental, does
anybody out there have any input on this technique or other avenues that
can offer her more hope than the doctors at The University of Michigan
seemed to have given her? The planned course of action, unless we learn
somemore information, is for her to undergo chemo beginning the first
week in November, so time is of the essence. If you think your input
could help, please respond. Thanks.
