At time of diagnosis in 1994, my Barb, not only had adenocarcinoma stage
1V cancer but also vaious other complications, one of which was a
pleural effusion also around the right lung and chest wall lining.. If
you can avoid removing the effusion by surgery, try to. It was a
combination of Cisplatin/cytoxin over a period of time that took the
effusion away. So chemo does help.
