So sorry to hear about your Mother. I would want to know the results of all
the tests, blood tests, etc. Then I would want to hear how they "the ONC"
plans to treat her. I assume she has had scans, MRI's, etc.
There is a test (from biopsy of cancer) to show which chemo treatments will
work best on an individuals cancer. It's kinda new, so I'm sure you will
have
to ask about this test.
If I wasn't happy with the ONC's attitude or answers, I would take my Mother
to another ONC along with all the test results and get a second opinion. If
I wasn't happy with that ONC's attitude, I'd probably keep going .
A lot of times, this is only my opinion, Dr's don't put as much effort into
treating older patients ( I should have said enough effor). I found this
true
when both my parents died.
When you find out staging and test results, ask as many questions as you
can (gathered from your research on Adeno NSCLC).
Good luck and I wish the best for you and your Mother.
Diana
