Myelofibrosis

I also have myeloid mettaplasia and myelofibrosis. With me it is as a
result of Cobalt 60 exposure during the British atomic weapons tests at
Maralinga in Australia in 1958. I was officially diagnosed in 1967. My
spleen was removed in 1992 when it weighed 1.8 kg. Now my liver is
enlarging. I am being treated with alpha interferon to reduce the
platelet count, as well as to help with immunity. Before the interferon
my platelet count was 3200, with interferon it is about 800. I have been
told that I am the longest surviving myelofibrosis patient in the world.

If I can help at all please let me know.

regards,

Doug Rickard.
