Several other things which you may already be doing can help. Take care of
your father's diet. There is plenty of information on the Net about herbs,
special foods, supplements, diets etc, and I can point you to a lot of them
if you want.
Take care of his emotional well being. Never let him think it is over ...
This is just a difficult moment he is going through and he will come out
alright on the other side.
THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT !!! Noone can explain it to date, but your own mind
has certain healing powers 'Placebo Effect' that actually make your body
heal itself when you really believe that whatever you're taking will get rid
off your trouble. My friend this WORKS!! (Besides you have nothing to loose
in trying it). Reassure him he will be alright and make HIM believe he WILL
BE !!!! Positive affirmations during meditation will also help.
You are doing a lot for a novice already. Netscape has a search utility
whereby you can specify a word or more to search for. This will point you to
several sites which will be helpful. Try also; Oncolink and CancerNet. There
are a lot of Hospitals, Research Labs and Government Offices where you can
get information and post questions.
